ALICinfo - Association of Lesbian Intentional Communities

A slideshow of lesbians living and working on lesbian lands followed by discussions about why lesbians have formed land groups to live in the country; information about existing lesbian lands and how to visit them; how lesbians live sustainably on land; and networking and information for women who want to start land communities. Lesbians from various lands will participate sharing their numerous skills, stories and diverse experiences.

Lesbian land is both a refuge and a means to freedom for lesbians. There we envision and create together ways to live in which we develop community and create lesbian culture in women-only space based on feminist values. In these difficult and alienating times, lesbian land provides us with a way to live simply and close to nature, where we see that the earth has a lot to teach us about the kind of society we want to
build.

After years of focusing on creating community and learning sustainable living skills, our aim is to increase awareness among all lesbians, and especially reaching out to those interested in exploring existing lands and those desiring to create lesbian land today.
